The diode laser represents one of latest advances in laser technology. It offers quick and precise soft–tissue surgeries with minimal or no bleeding, swelling, or post–operative pain.

It has a very broad range of applications in periodontal and restorative procedures. It’s mostly used for gingival treatment (deep cleaning) enabling a high bacterial decontamination and for scalpel free gingival corrections around restorations or natural dentition. Using the laser allows for an accelerated healing process.

The diode laser is also a good tool for the treatment of intra-oral ulcers.
