Crowns and Bridges
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” used to restore a natural tooth as well as a dental implant. They are useful in cases where a considerable part of the tooth structure is damaged and when bonding procedures are not feasible.
When a considerable part of the tooth structure is damaged and when bonding procedures are not possible a dental crown is indicated.
Dental crowns are tooth shaped “caps” that are used to restore a natural tooth as well as a dental implant. They are made out of different type of materials: metal, ceramics fused to metal, metal-free ceramics or composite crowns.
Today we mostly use the metal-free ceramics and in some indications ceramic fused to metal crowns.
The crowning procedure usually consist of two appointments: a first one in which intraoral information is acquired in order to be sent to the dental laboratory, and a second one for placing the new crown.
Individualized treatment propositions and turnaround times will be proposed upon a complete evaluation.
Our crown designs can be seen in the Dental Office Brussels smile gallery.
